Thanksgiving treat: how to pack for holidays

Hoping this is a happy lunch surprise! I know packing for holidays isn’t rocket science but it can feel overwhelming and difficult.

Pack for Thanksgiving

The key to not overpacking is to bring less clothing and more accessories.

Choose a neutral core color palette when packing, for simplicity and what most people have in their wardrobe I have chosen black. You’ll also notice the toggle sweater coat can go over every one of these pieces and look fabulous.

Bring two pairs of shoes: a flat and a heel.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, enjoy food, family and love. Cheers!

During the holidays we all want to look great (obviously!) Whether you’re seeing friends, family or both it’s tempting to buy a few new pieces. Remember what happens when you don’t shop from a list? You may end up buying pieces that don’t even make sense or fit in your wardrobe. Look at your color palette and shop with purpose. Buying holiday pieces, try to remain in the neutral color palette (blacks, navy, blush, camel) because most likely that piece should be able to go from day to evening with jewelry you already own.

Have one piece in mind and a budget that you want to spend for holiday looks; Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. This will help guide you where you want to spend and where to save. Remember- you most likely have gifts to buy 🙂

Remember the rule of 3? You should be able to wear that piece at least 3 different occasions. You can find great, inexpensive pieces for holiday, here this H&M blouse is $29.95. A great shape to eat what you want for Thanksgiving, while still feeling fabulous. If you’re tired of wearing blazers; throw one of your cardigans on and you are good to go. Any piece with a little sequin or extra added detail- voila!

Next week, we’ll see what holiday looks are worth the investment and splurge. You know I LOVE sequins!
